There is a beach for everyone, whether you want to explore, swim, sunbathe or just relax.
Lady’s Mile Beach
One of the most well-liked beaches in the area is Lady’s Mile, which is only a ten minutes drive from the heart of Limassol. The beach is ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and morning strolls because it extends for several kilometres along a level, sandy shore. Lady’s Mile Beach, caters to all kinds of beach lovers, it has a mix of natural, peaceful sections and more structured areas with sunbeds and umbrellas. It also has free and easy parking right next to the sand, making access easy for everyone. Additionally, there are well-known beach bars like Captain’s Cabin, Aplostra, and Columbia Sun that are ideal for getting a drink or dining by the sea. Lady’s Mile is a great option whether you’re a couple seeking a leisurely day out, a family with children, or just someone who enjoys a good sunset.
Local tip: For more peaceful areas and shallow, calm water, go to the far end. It’s perfect for kids or peaceful reading.
Governor’s Beach
Governor’s Beach, is a popular destination for those seeking natural beauty and instagramable photos, is only a 25 minute drive east of Limassol and offers a distinctive landscape of bright white rocks and turquoise sea. It’s ideal for rock hopping and snorkelling, surrounded by nature, it offers a variety of rocky and sandy areas to accommodate all visitors. Additionally, there are a few fish taverns close by that are perfect for a lunch by the sea. Local advice: For the best light and less crowds, visit early in the day and bring reef shoes if you intend to explore the rocky areas.
Dasoudi Beach
Dasoudi Beach is the place to go if you don’t want to leave Limassol at all. It is conveniently situated in the city close to the tourist area and has a unique and peaceful atmosphere thanks to the shade provided by a forest of eucalyptus trees.
The beach is perfect for swimming because of its soft sand and calm, shallow waters.
